“Scaphoid fracture” definition:

a break to one of the bones in the wrist, at the base of the thumb. Often occurs upon falling onto an outstretched hand. May present as pain in the ‘anatomical snuff box”. Fractures to the scaphoid are sometimes missed, as it can take several days for the fracture to appear on X-Ray imaging.
